At G&S Medical Associates, our team of highly skilled and compassionate healthcare providers is dedicated to delivering exceptional medical care to our community.

G&S Medical Associates

Dr. Gammal Hassanien and Dr. Samah Ismail had a dream of providing quality Primary Medical Care to the people of Passaic County. To fulfill that dream they opened their first clinic in 2010 at 91 Main St., Paterson, NJ followed by a second location at 606 Broadway in Paterson, NJ. Since that beginning, they have opened six more locations and have several more in the planning stages. When hiring medical staff, they seek providers and support staff with compassion, that truly care about the wellbeing of their patients.

Throughout the years there have been many challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, that brought many changes to medicine. Dr. Hassanien is proud to say that G&S Medical stepped up to the needs of the people of Passaic County during the pandemic. While many medical clinics closed their doors in response to the dangers of the pandemic, our clinics remained open, treating patients, often with limited staff as our Providers and Medical Assistance also acquired the virus along with our patients.

As we continue to support the needs of our patients G&S Medical invited a Podiatrist to join our staff. We are actively seeking other specialists to join the team with the goal of providing the medical needs our patients need.

Meet Our Providers

Gammal Hassanien, D.O. - Medical Director

Dr. Gammal Hassanien, D.O., is the co-founder of G&S Medical Associates and holds the position of Medical Director. Dr. Hassanien earned his Bachelor Degrees in Medicine & Surgery from the Alexandria School of Medicine in Alexandria, Egypt. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at New York School of Osteopathic Medicine, Long Island, NY. He has worked at St. Michael Medical Center, Newark, NJ, Passaic General Hospital, Passaic, NJ, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, NJ, and as an Attending Physician at Kessler Institute, Saddlebrook, NJ, Monroe Clinic, Passaic, NJ, and Urgent Care Medical Associates, Succasunna, NJ. Dr. Hassanien is a Diplomat of the American Board of Osteopathic Medicine.

Samah M. Ismail, PhD – Director of Operations

Samah is the co-founder of G&S Medical Associates. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from Alexandria University and worked in clinical research for the pharmaceutical industry. In December of 2018, she achieved her PhD from Rutgers University. She is responsible for opening the G&S Lab where many of our patient specimens are processed. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit the U.S., she expanded the lab to include molecular testing for the Covid-19 virus to rapidly diagnose our patients so they could receive immediate and appropriate treatment.

Samir Haddad, M.D. – Physician

Dr. Samir H. Haddad, M.D., is a graduate of Aleppo University, College of Medicine. He performed his Residency in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Brest Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in Brest, France. He completed a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Dr. Haddad has participated in over a dozen research projects worldwide and has published over 50 documents in medical journals. He is both a medical educator and a medical practitioner with a current focus on Internal Medicine. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Mohammed Dahhan, M.D. – Physician

Dr. Mohammed Dahhan, M.D., received his undergraduate degree in Science from the American Scientific College in Aleppo, Syria, and his M.D. from Aleppo University in Aleppo, Syria. He performed his postgraduate training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Mohammed Amer Moughrabi, M.D. – Physician

Dr. Mohammed Amer Moughrabi, M.D., received his undergraduate degree in Science from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS, and his Masters from William Paterson University, Paterson, NJ. He attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO, where he received his Doctorate. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University, Dominica, WI, and completed his Residency at Atlantic Care, Atlantic City, NJ, and Harlem Hospital, New York, NY.

Mohamad Anwar, D.P.M. – Physician

Dr. Mohamad Anwar earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, New Brunswick, NJ. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan, NY. His residency was at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island, NY, where his focus was Reconstructive Rear Foot & Ankle surgery.

Hayde Bolanos, A.P.N. – Provider

Hayde M. Bolanos, MSN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, earned her A.S. Nursing Degree from Rockland Community College, Suffern, NY. She earned her B.S. in Nursing from Pace University, New York, NY, and her advanced degrees from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Rutgers University, Newark, NJ. Her area of specialty is Family Medicine and Mental Health.

Ryan Murray, P.A. – Provider

Ryan received his Bachelor of Science in Health Services Technology from Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, NJ. His graduate work was at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA, where he obtained his Masters of Science and Physician’s Assistant degree. He held the position of Respiratory Therapist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, and Somerville, NJ.

John Saldarriaga, P.A. – Provider

John received his Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care Therapy from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. His graduate work was at Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ, where he obtained his Masters of Science and Physician’s Assistant Degree. He held the position of Respiratory Therapist for AtHome Medical and Genesis Rehab Services.

Sherif Azer, P.A. – Provider

Sherif received his Bachelor of Science at Touro College, Manhattan, NJ. His graduate work was at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Brooklyn, NY, where he received his Masters of Science and Physician’s Assistant degrees.

Anoush Yaminifar, A.P.N. – Provider

Anoush received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Gohdishapour University School of Medicine, Ahwaz, Iran. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Monroe College, New York City, NY, and his Masters of Science and Advanced Practice Nurse degrees from South College, Knoxville, TN.

Mehjabeen Mujtaba, A.P.N. – Provider

Mehjabeen Mujtaba, A.P.N., is a dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse background in family and internal medicine, aesthetics, and holistic healing. She completed her medical degree (MBBS) from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, followed by an MBA in health administration, an MSN in nursing administration, and a post-Masters FNP certification. Mujtaba’s comprehensive training includes residencies in both obstetrics and gynecology, as well as internal medicine, equipping her with a wide-ranging skill set.

For the past three years, Mujtaba has been practicing at Hackensack University Medical Center, where she is well-regarded for her patient-centered approach. Her philosophy, “Care as if they are your family members,” reflects her commitment to treating each patient with the utmost compassion and personalized attention. She emphasizes the importance of integrating traditional medical treatments with holistic practices to promote overall wellness.

Mujtaba is also an active community leader, organizing events and clinics that benefit the local population. Her efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in setting up vaccination clinics, have been instrumental in supporting public health.

Outside of her professional life, Mujtaba enjoys activities that foster personal well-being and quality family time. She is passionate about fitness, reading non-fiction, practicing taekwondo, hiking, and traveling. Her dedication to excellence in patient care has earned her multiple Best Patient Experience Awards, highlighting her commitment to providing outstanding healthcare services. Yenny Reynoso, A.P.N. – Provider

Yenny completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Arlington, Arlington, TX. She attended Chandler University, Chicago, IL, where she completed her Masters of Science and Advanced Practice Nurse degrees in Family Medicine.

Sohilla Ahmadi, A.P.N. – Provider

Sohilla completed her Bachelor of Science at Ashford University, Clinton, IA. She attended Walden University, Minneapolis, MN, where she completed her Masters of Science and Advanced Practice Nurse degrees in Family Medicine.

Luz Anaya, MSN, RN, AGNP-C, ACLS - Provider

Luz’s area of focus is Gerontology Primary Care. She received her undergraduate degree from Western Governors University and her graduate degree from William Paterson University. She was a Hospital RN before receiving her credentials as an Advanced Practice Nurse.

“My Patient Care Philosophy centers on considering the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of health to provide comprehensive care that addresses all facets of a patient’s well-being. I approach each patient with kindness and understanding, fostering a supportive and therapeutic relationship. Working closely with other healthcare professionals, I strive to provide coordinated and integrated care, ensuring every aspect of the patient’s health is addressed. I believe in educating patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, empowering them to take an active role in their health management. Respecting and integrating patients’ cultural, religious, and personal values into the care plan is crucial to me, as it ensures culturally sensitive and appropriate care.”

Luz has previously worked in a hospital setting (temporary Covid ICU, Stepdown ICU, Telemetry Med-Surg, Bariatric Surgical unit), Subacute Rehab, and Adult Medical Day Care.Personal Interests: Travel: Exploring global health issues, participating in medical missions, or learning about healthcare systems in different cultures. Mentoring nursing students or new nurse practitioners, reflecting a commitment to fostering the next generation of healthcare providers.

Viviana Cano, A.P.N. – Provider

Viviana completed her Bachelor of Science at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL. She attended William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ, where she completed her Masters of Science and Advanced Practice Nurse degrees.
